OUR STORY

Bethel History picBethel Family Ministries was founded in 1947 by Ben Hodge (the grandfather of the current Senior Pastor).
In 1977, the church purchased land and built what is now Bethel Assembly at 6301 Alabama.

Over the course of several years other additions have been made to the church complex including an annex for classrooms and a gymnasium.

Who We Are. . .

Bethel Assembly is a God-centered, purpose-driven church. Our purpose is multi-faceted and includes five basic objectives:

  • wholehearted worship to God
  • fellowship of participants
  • discipleship and spiritual growth
  • outreach ministry to the community
  • evangelism to those who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

At every level, these five purposes drive the activities of the church.

We serve a largely Hispanic community, much of which is Spanish-speaking. All our services are geared toward those who speak English. Our congregation is composed of many races including Asian, Afro-American, Hispanic, and Anglo. Between 600 and 700 individuals attend church services each week. Approximately 400 families are members of Bethel Assembly.
