WOW!! Did You Feel That?

If you've been to church or listened to the podcast the past several weeks, you'll know we've been talking about living a life that is "Evidence of Christ" - solid proof that Jesus is alive.
To be this proof, we need help. We need to live, walk and be led by the Spirit in this "Christ-Life". When we're led, we will see adversity. It's a part of God's developmental process. I'll be honest, I don't really like it, BUT, I'm learning that God's wanting to take me to a new level in relationship with Him.
Now, this Sunday was amazing. God opened a lot of eyes to see God leading in, thru and out of adversity. In fact, you could see - even feel - people experiencing freedom - some for the first time. "Since God is for us, who could be against us."
Moses told Pharaoh, "Let my people go so they can go WORSHIP". That's the key. Don't wait until you're free to worship - do it when you see adversity coming!

Hey Benny,
I've really been impressed that you have been talking about the difficulty of living for God. We hear so much about the blessings of God which are really really wonderful (don't get me wrong, I enjoy God's blessings.) But so many pasotrs only talk about the blessings and then when things go wrong, and they frequently will, the christian is left feeling like a failure.
Your teaching this last few weeks has been so encouraging because you acknowledge that life is full of adversity. How can we ever overcome with out something, adversity, to overcome? It's not fun, but overcoming is liberating, empowering, sweet.
Jesus' life is supposed to be our model so how can we expect an easy life when he didn't have one? I love that he overcame the cross. Not by avoiding it and letting God bless him with an easier way; but, by enduring it for the prize at the end of it. Us!
If we can get ahold of an eternal mindset, it'll make our daily struggles easier to deal with. Just beware: God does not give patience, He grows it in us.
Thanks for keeping it real, even when it's tough to hear, it's good, too.
